The government is expected to introduce cooling measure to slow down the country’s red hot real estate market. A number of suggestions, including raising the stress test, raising down payment standards, and introducing a tax on your principal residence have been talked about over the past few weeks.
This video goes over recent calls by various stakeholders in the mortgager and real estate market in Canada.
It turns to the suggestions made by those stakeholders aiming to cool down real estate. It then looks at what these suggestions, if implemented, would do to real estate in London Ontario and surrounding area.
